18 - 30 months
The toddler years are a time of rapid physical, cognitive, and emotional development, laying the foundation for future learning and self-discovery. Key milestones during this period include language development, socialization, and the emergence of self-help skills. In our toddler program, toddlers learn to express themselves verbally, engage in parallel play, and participate in activities that promote concentration and coordination. The Montessori materials and activities that we provide support their burgeoning independence, fostering skills such as dressing, toileting, and eating independently.
The environment is customized to fit their size all while encouraging exploration and development.
Young children are building meaningful skills while promoting language, socialization, coordination, and nutrition.
Guides (Teachers) carefully observe your child to know when to encourage independence, provide support, and offer new challenges.
Benchmarks reflect base expectations. Children advance according to their developmental readiness, which is the premise of the Montessori philosophy including quality and level of work completed. Guides utilize a multi-sensory approach, which addresses all learning styles and creates the optimal learning environment. Benchmark tables can be expanded below by clicking the ^
